Kim Murray Ward

Kim Murray Ward is a Sports Physiotherapist and Director of High Performance Golf. She graduated with Distinction from Sydney University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy). Kim completed her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy at Sydney University in 2004, winning the Institute of Sport prize for finishing first in her graduating class. Kim currently lectures to the Sports Physiotherapy Masters program at Sydney University on Golf Physiotherapy. Kim is a much better Sports Physio than a golfer!

Kim has a particular interest in treating golfers with lumbopelvic (back, hip, pelvic and groin) pain. She has been helping golfers ranging from the elite to the hacker with their back, hip and groin problems for many years. Along with golfers, Kim has also been involved with players and athletes from:

  • Sydney FC
  • Cronulla Sharks NRL Club
  • South Sydney Rabbitohs NRL Club
  • Parramatta Eels NRL Club
  • Sydney Swans AFL Club
  • Israeli Olympic Team, Sydney 2000
  • Sydney Striders
  • NSW Country Rugby Union Colts
  • West Harbour Rugby Union Football Club Colts
  • Orange Agricultural College, University of Sydney Rugby Union Football Club

Kim has a passion for treating the lumbopelvic area. She has an integrated approach embracing the most recent research evidence in the management of these complex problems. Kim believes it is essential the golfer has a good understanding of:

  • their underlying problems or diagnosis
  • why they get their symptoms and how it relates to their golf swing
  • what the plan is for the management of their symptoms
  • the need for the patient and their Golf Teaching Professional to be actively involved in their treatment
